Personal Fav!!!! Be the girl with the eyes.  Create dramatic eye emphasis in a single stroke.  This long-wearing, quick drying formula applies smoothly and evenly for instantly bigger and bolder eyes
Colors: Plum, green or black
Bottom - Apply eye liner as close to lashes as possible; smudge to avoid a harsh look, this helps balance the shape. To make eyes look bigger or wide-set: Start mid-lid, extend eye liner just past the end of eye, blend upward. When using liquid liner, hold outer corner of lid taut and apply using quick short strokes.

Top - You may choose to use a pencil or liquid liner. Pencil liners come in an assortment of sizes. The fatter the pencil, the more smudged look you'll get. Liquid liners are a little tricky, but once you get the hang of them, you may love the look as much as I do. Liquid liners will give a more dramatic, defined look. Use your best judgment on what look you want to create.

  • If you wear only eye makeup and wonder why at the end of the day your makeup is smudged and coming off, here's why. You need to give a base coat of foundation and powder for the eye makeup to adhere to. Even if you don't want to wear foundation, just apply it to your eyes. Or even better, use an eye primer for super staying power! Check out our primer section for tips
  • Pencil eye liners tend to smudge and wear off easier
More Eyelining Tips
  • Extend the eye liner slightly past the corners of your eye for that cat look that's in
  • I've heard that if you apply white eye liner to the inside bottom lid it makes your eyes look brighter. Be wary of this and don't overload the inside lid. The trick is to make it look as though you don't have any on.
  • If you're all out of eyeliner, take your thinnest application brush, (everyone should have a set of make-up brushes if you wear make-up!) Next, dampen slightly and gently rub across the shadow compact and apply carefully!
  • If you have dark circles under the eyes, avoid using dark eyeliner.

Makeup Tips: How to Apply Eyeliner, Eyeliner Tips & Tricks Liquid Liner
Eyeliner should be a must have staple in every girls makeup kit. Eyeliner allows you to shape, define and emphasize your eyes. Using different shades of eyeliner also allows you to change the look of your eye color. Blue eyes look bluer with brown shades of pencil. While green eyes pop with dark shades of plum. Using different tones on Brown eyes will pick up golden flecks or brighten a deep dark brown eye.
Choosing an eyeliner color to make your eye color stand out:
  • When using liquid eye liner, (this is my specialty :), The first thing you should do is make sure the brush is extremely thin! If it isn't, your line will be too thick and hard to manage while putting on. It's best to buy cosmetics from stores that will take them back. Or ask on cosmetic message boards what others like. I have found, after trying virtually every brand on the market, that wetn'wild has the best thin tipped brush out there! And the color doesn't peel off like some other liquid eyeliners.
  • Wipe the excess off when you pull the brush out of the tube. I find that if you wipe access on a clean piece of plastic, when you need to re-load the bush, use the extra that was left on the plastic. It not only saves on the eye liner but you can control how much is on your brush. Plus you can avoid tainting the liner in the tube with germs.
  • Always apply liquid eye liner after eyeshadow application and allow to dry before applying mascara
  • Use Liquid eye liner on top and pencil for the bottom.

Liquid Eyelining Tips
Liquid eyeliner creates a dramatic, strong line that really emphasizes the shape of your eye. With the right liquid liner, the lasting power is doubled that of a pencil liner. Liquid liner should only be applied up top, above the lashes.
  • When applying eyeliner, apply as close to the lashes as possible
  • If your eyes droop down, line them up towards the outer corner of your eye
  • If pencil is freshly sharpened, soften tip by gently rolling it across the back of your hand.
How to make Blue eyes stand out
Make blue eyes stand out with these makeup colors: Shades of brown, camel, and taupe will help blue eyes appear even bluer. The darker the liner, the more your blue eyes will pop, like with dark browns, blacks and charcoal. If you choose a green liner, choose a darker green like dark golden green or forest green. Too light of a green color will not accentuate blue eyes, but make your eyes fade. Also avoid blue liner unless it is super dark navy blue.
How to make Green eyes stand out
Make green eyes stand out with these makeup colors: Shades in Plums, purples, dark gray, blacks and charcoals, all shades of brown and brownish-pink will help green eyes look even greener. The darker the liner, the more your green eyes will pop, like with deep purples, dark browns, blacks and charcoal. Choose "warm" toners like browns, golden browns, red plums to make eyes look greener and lighter. Choose "cool" tones like deep navy blue, blue purples, deep teal to make your green eyes look bluer.  Avoid light colored liners like light teal, light blues if your green eyes are lighter and darker shades if your eyes are darker green.
How to make Brown eyes stand out
Make Brown eyes stand out with these makeup colors: Shades of slate blue, gray, and plum will help brown eyes stand out. Brown eye girls are very lucky. Brown is a neutral color. Thus meaning almost any makeup shade look great on brown eyes.  Choose "warm" toners like golden browns, deep red plums, Bronze to make eyes look warmer and softer. Choose "cool" tones like black, deep navy blue, cool dark browns, dark metal grays to make your brown eyes look cooler, and sometimes darker. Avoid light colored liners like light pinks and light purples.
