Step 3.)Next, the top section. You will be using a flat iron for this. Working from the bottom of the top section, begin to flat iron 2 inch sections. To get volume while flat ironing, pull the section of hair you are doing, straight out from the root  and glide iron down the hair. When reaching about 3 inches from the bottom of each section, slightly flip under, with the curl of your wrist, each section. Continue to do the entire top of head like this. Always flipping under and backwards, with the flat iron.

Step 4.) Take the front section: side swept bangs and small sides, out and pin out of the way. Next, gather the back top section of hair and pull to the back of your head. Secure with a fancy barrette or put into a small ponytail and wrap a piece of hair around the elastic to cover..
Step 1.) Separate head into 2 sections: All the hair from the top of the ear down and all the hair above the ear. Clip the above section out of the way, to the top of your head.

How to Updo Styles ...
Step 2.)  With a 1 1/2 inch curling iron, begin to curl 1 inch sections of hair. Curl the entire bottom section. Do not use any styling product yet, except for hairspray. If you apply a shiner or wax now, the curls will fall in an hour. Wait till the end to apply anything but hairspray.
Create the perfect updo hair style for prom, your wedding, any occasion!! Just follow the simple updo how to hair style instructions below.
Half up, half down bouffant updo, side swept bangs, pulled to the side
For the front hump: Instead of pulling the entire section at once, you can either tease the top of the hair to get the hump or you can take small 1 inch sections of hair, working from the middle top of head, pull each small section to back of head and push forward to create a puff. Next, take another small 1 inch section of hair on the right of the first section you pinned and do the same, pulling to the back of the head and securing next to the first puff you made. Next, take the left section and do the same as the first 2. This way is much easier to manage and the puff stays longer and higher.
Step 5.) Take your hair into a small, loose ponytail, pulling to the side, directly behind the bottom of the ear. Secure the hair with either an elastic that you can cover by wrapping a piece of hair around it or with a barrette.
Run a small amount of a shiner like biosilk, thru side swept bangs and throughout the bottom curls to loosen. Finish with a good holding spray
